Ctrl blog (“the site”) is hosted by Synaps Media (Triofan ZZP; Netherlands, Europe). Synaps Media uses European service providers for hosting, and web content- and email delivery on behalf of the site. See Synaps Media’s list of service providers.

There’s no cookie banner on the site because there are no cookies by default. Registered members use a session cookie to stay logged in to the site. Membership is required to leave comments and to receive the site’s email newsletter.
Membership and newsletter
You need to login using your email address to become a Member and receive the email newsletter. Your email address is used to send you the email newsletter and verify your Membership when you login to the site.
Comments
Membership is required to comment. Comments posted on the site are public. Whatever you write shows up on the page along with the name on your account.
Audience metrics
The site counts its readership and visitors using cookie-less tracking scripts without using any persistent identifiers. There is no device fingerprinting or other sketchy surveillance shenanigans. Readership is counted through Ghost by Synaps Media and StatCounter Ltd. (Republic of Ireland, Europe).
